The day is getting longer as we are entering summer here in Australia. We saw a beautiful sunset yesterday and it inspired me to create a step by step sunset inspired Christmas party eye makeup look using the lovely shades of orange, blue and purple.
Let’s get started!
Apply face primer, foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, highlighter, eyebrow colour and lip colour.
Apply eye primer to extend the longevity of the eye makeup.
I used the Viseart Warm Matte Palette for this look and also the Natasha Denona Lila Palette. Apply a light beige shade to the crease area.
Apply the orange shade from the Viseart Palette and dab it on the crease area and blend. I barely touch the pan and picked up enough pigment for the crease. A little goes a long way and make sure to use light handed application for this.
Apply the rich deep orange with red undertone shade just to the middle part of that crease area.
Apply the Nude Mauve shade from the Lila Palette and apply to the lid just under the crease.
Apply the yellow shade from the Viseart Warm Matte Palette to the inner corner of the eyes blending upward towards the eyebrow.
Apply the metallic purple shade in Viola from the Lila Palette and apply it on the lid toward the inner corner of the eyes as an accent.
Take a step back from time to time to make sure that the placement of colours are exactly where you want them to be.
Apply the purple-blue shade in Amethyst from the Lila Palette and blend towards the outer corner of the eyes.
Pick up a clean blending brush and blend the eyeshadows together to remove any harsh lines.
Apply a mid-tone brown shade from the Viseart Warm Matte Palette under the eyes and blend well.
Apply false lashes, eyeliner and mascara to complete the eye makeup look.
And there you have it, it’s done!
Hopefully you enjoyed this tutorial and get to try this look for a party that you are attending and let me know how it goes!
