BECCA’s Après Ski Glow Face Palette is the limited edition face palette that contains six pans variations of two blushes, two bronzer and three highlighter. The product’s net weight is 15.5 g or 0.54 Oz and cost USD $54 or around AUD $98. Currently (as of Tuesday the 16th of January 2018), Sephora Australia has a promotion of 30% off the full price, which brings the pricedown to around AUD $64 per palette. The BECCA collection also available from Adore Beauty Online.
The new face palette includes one new Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Icicle, which is a cool and icy prismatic frost with a slight blue tint as well as Rose Quartz, the brand’s popular highlighter. It also includes a new Mineral Blush in Winter Berry, the perfect rosy pink shade for your cheeks.
This limited edition palette also contains BECCA’s three best-selling iconic shades. They are the Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi, Luminous blush in Blushed Copper, and Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal.
BECCA Après Ski Glow Face Palette Packaging
The six-pans face products is housed in a gorgeous reflective silver compact in a rectangular shape. It has snow/ icicle embellishment that is embossed around its perimeter as well as the BECCA logo embossed in the center. This compact feels reasonable heavy, with a sturdy feel to it and it includes a large mirror inside. The only down point to this beautiful packaging is that it will get fingerprints all over it quite easily and we need to give it a good wipe every time we are done using it, to keep it clean.
This product mentioned Mica as their first ingredient and this is great! Mica is the pigment that gives colour to the product. Hence, this face palette is very pigmented. A light handed application is recommended. We can use a large face brush to apply this product to combat the high pigmentation and always tap your brush after gently dipping it into the pan. We don’t want to look like a messy clown with bright and colourful cheeks! A little goes a long way.
Texture and longevity
Rose Quartz has buttery smooth texture and it lasted for well over six hours on my skin without any touch up.
Icicle also has buttery smooth finish and it also lasted on me for a long time. This shade is a little too cool on my skin by itself. I mixed it with the bronzer to warm it up a little and it compliment my complexion beautifully.
Winter Berry feels a little drier to the touch in comparison to the others. Although the colour swatches on my hand was very pigmented, somehow it didn’t last as long as the others on my skin. A little touch-up is needed if you want this colour to last all day long.
Blushed Copper and Opal both has buttery smooth texture that was a delight on my skin. They also lasted well over six hours without any touch-ups. Gorgeous colours!
Bronzed Bondi is not as pigmented as the highlighters. Although it is buildable, we need to layer it up slowly and avoid a hard-handed approach as the colour would not blend well and ended up patchy. It take a little extra time to layer this up and blend to a smooth application.
Overall, this palette falls short in comparison to the individual face products. Although the highlighters in this palette are great, the only blush and bronzer included were not up to par to the rest of the products.
